Ingredifind integration with Fourth RME cuts allergen workload for restaurants

Ingredifind announced a new integration with Fourth, the global leader in Recipe and Menu Engineering software. Restaurants using Fourth RME (previously StarChef) can now flag allergens within their existing platform and automatically feed that information into Ingredifind's guest-facing and staff-facing menus.

With allergens growing 5% a year, restaurants face growing pressure to get allergen information right. This integration reduces the risk of communication errors, minimises admin work for the operator and gives restaurant guests the peace of mind they deserve.

How it works

  • Enhanced guest experience: Guests view detailed allergen declarations — from gluten, nuts, and dairy to less common ingredients such as garlic or pepper — directly on digital menus or via QR codes.
  • Built on Fourth RME data: Allergen data already in Fourth RME flows digitally to the guest at the table. No more allergy folders or matrices needed.
  • Better allergen communication: Restaurants choose which allergens to flag in Fourth RME's recipe library. Ingredifind ingests a daily feed and refreshes when changes are made.
  • Easier for staff: Automating the flow of allergen data to Ingredifind's Staff Link empowers servers to answer any query at the table, rather than relying on word of mouth via the chef.

Availability

The Ingredifind–Fourth RME integration is available immediately to all Fourth RME customers. Restaurants simply designate the allergens they wish to track within Fourth RME's recipe library, and Ingredifind's system automatically ingests and publishes the data.
